S I L E N C E
There is so much chatter these days. The constant chatter of social media. Of news. Of communication that is instant and incessant, our unavoidable reachability.
I long for silence. Soft and lush. Tranquil. The antidote to my madness. To our collective scramble.
I am working on being present with silence for at least a few minutes each day. As someone who talks for a living, this is no small task.
But, oh, how gorgeous...
Here is what I heard today:
Silence is sublime.
Silence contains all the sounds in the world.
Silence calms me. Relaxes me. Reassures me. Speaks to me.
Silence creates space.
It teaches me.
In silence I can listen. I can hear the quiet voice.
Silence is dark and beautiful; it is comforting, like a soft blanket for my soul.
It is the cosmic drumbeat, the ancient heartbeat, the rhythm of life.
It is the unaltered truth.
Silence is underrated.
Silence is under-utilized.
Silence is always there, if you let it in.
Silence calls to me.
Will I listen?
